Kiowa District Hospital

Our Healthcare team has learned the unique challenges faced by rural communities as they strive to provide high-quality medical care away from the convenience of larger cities. In this project, we considered USDA funding, geographical accessibility, and the diverse needs of a widespread population to replaced an outdated 1950s hospital.

Project Details

Located in Kiowa, Kansas, this 28,000-square-foot rural hospital includes private patient rooms, an imaging suite, a centralized nurse station, an operating room suite, a special procedure room, a two-bay trauma emergency department, a central laboratory, and eight exam rooms. We also developed a master plan to allow for future expansion.
