Police Academy

The Kansas City Police Department set the bar high for their new training facility. They envisioned a state-of-the-art facility and cutting-edge technology to meet their diverse needs. After a nationwide tour of similar institutions, we designed an academy comprised of small, flexible classrooms and virtual training environments that not only met, but exceeded the KCPD’s expectations.

Project Details

This 107,000-square-foot academy sits on 132 acres in Kansas City, Missouri. It includes indoor and outdoor firing ranges, administrative and storage space,1.2-mile driving course, central energy plant, simulation building, fitness and weight rooms, gymnasium, locker rooms, indoor and outdoor running tracks, video production area, 500-seat auditorium, and flexible, high-tech classrooms.
